crank repair sleeve
Ive had a leak at the crank hub for a lil while, and new seals havent worked, so now my next step is to try a repair sleeve. Only thing is, theres 2 sizes.. a .013 and .020 oversized thickness. Which one do I need? I imagine once its on, its not coming back off easily. Any of you guys used one of thses before?

I used one once, and it was a LONG time ago, and on a small block MoPar. If you truly think you need a sleeve, I'd start small....
One question, when you tried replacing the seals in the past, you DID remember to pre-oil the new seal before installing the balancer hub....right??

No, everytime I have used these, all I did was use a soft mallet and tap evenly very lightly, those sleeves will smash easy. The one I put on my LT crank, I had a rubber block, laid it flush on top of the sleeve then hammered it in slowly..The trick is to start seating the sleeve evenly down the hub, if you are at the slightest angle, it will bind then just start smashing the top..Patience is your key tool...
