Default 3200 edge stall

I am going to be buying a edge 3200 stall for my 1997 TA. I am wondering what other mods I should do to the trans; I already have a true cool trans cooler, but what fluid should I use and should I change any seals. Also will this converter provide a huge advantage over stock and will it hurt the way it drives around town?

99.9% of stalled lt1 owners who have been there/done that are going to tell you 3600 is where you should start. I have had a 3000 and a 3200. I will never go this low on even a stock car ever again.

When accelerating your mpgs will decrease quite a bit, but your cruising mpgs will not change with a lockup clutch.

If it helps any the car is going to be a 355 le1 heads lt4 hot cam 11:8:1 compression and it has a 3.42 ws6 rear end out of a 2000 ws6.

First go bigger, 3600 is where its at. I haven't noticed a difference in the way mine drives around town with the 3.73s. Its fine at low speeds and when I want it power is there. Definitely a shift kit. My trans is stock with 200K miles and still strong, no signs of slipping. As far as fluid this is one area most will tell you to cheap out. Plain old Dex/Merc of any brand will work fine, Im using Castrol in mine. Stay away from synthetic fluid
