Default Need some good light weight pistions for my 355?

I am looking for good affordable light weight pistons for my lt1 355 build. What brand and part number would you guys recommend? I originally ordered these, but summit keeps delaying the delivery date http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLP-L2490F30/. I would prefer forged with 1/16 in. x 1/16 in. x 3/16 in rings.

How about these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PBP-12334-030/; I can get them at a local speed shop. I will be using a .026" thick head gasket and 54cc heads.

Run a DSS piston they are good. Prefer the GSX but the SX will be enough for most. they are generally 60 grams light than stock.

The SRS stuff from probe is pretty decent for the price. Get a 6" or 6.125" rod version... I run JE stuff, and their FSR pistons are very light depending on what you're trying to do.

I think I am going to go with the srs 6" rod pistons; they are bit lower on the price than others. The car is not going to be a all out track car, just want a good powered daily driver; I don't need super light piston just want them slight less heavy than the stockers with less drag on the cylinder walls. Even though the Probes are cheap I think they will work well with my le1 + lt4 hotcam top end. I would think they would be a upgrade over the sealed power pistons I was originally going to use.

For mine I'd use the Scat 6" 7/16 rod and the Mahle Powerpak SBC250030f05 piston set.

I know the Mahle would be better, but they are not the absolutely only piston that will work; the probe pistons I bought would have to be a improvement over the stock pistons. The rotating assy will be balanced with the probe pistons.

Hell I remember when they were $15 a hole!

My SRPs were $55 a hole (2003) and I made over 750HP on them

Wiseco makes a small block pro-lite piston that has moly rings and skirt coating. They are a great price and when Hot Rod magazine did a comparison between the top 5 piston manufacturers, Wiseco was the lightest by almost 100 grams per piston. The pro-lites are also 2618 material and are a great forging. I would stay away from JE anymore, their quality has dropped dramatically.

I remember $ 10.00 a hole, And you had to have a second job if you wanted them.

I cannot get into it due to a privacy act I am under, I work for the same company that owns JE, all I can say is from what I see come through and what I hear, they are not doing to well at all and quality is a lot to blame. I would go with Wiseco or Diamond before any other piston manufacturer, they both keep up on forging technology compared to any other company, Mahle is not far behind. I am partial to Wiseco, they also just release a LSX style forging and ring package for traditional small blocks, it's really strong and lightweight, but adds $$$$.
