Could an exhaust leak cause...
it to run rich? These band clamps have always been a pain getting them to seal after the first use but recently I can hear a ticking coming from where the longtube collectors meet the true duals. I'm at school so I cant mess with it to fix it. But the car seems a tad bit sluggish and whenever I go full throttle to about 5k I can see a dust cloud behind me and it smells like gas

how rich will it run if it is leaking from the manifold? Mine is leaking bad from the passenger mani and it will barley run. I just replaced the opti so if that isnt it, could the leak cause this?

Here this happened to me. I had a false lean condition on the left bank. If you think the leak is at the collector and not the band clap you tell by only two ways and one involves taking the header out. The other is easy. On a cold start start the car and run over and shove your hand up in the middle of the collector. if it is leaking you will feel pulsating air comming from the leak. If you feel nothing check around the out side of the collector for pulsating air. I't important to do it cold so A. you don't burn your self but B. the pipes are cold and they will expand as they get hot. Mine used to somewhat seal it's self up but still show up on the O2 as a false lean and cold sounded like a rod knock. Here's the thread, This is what I found. https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...er-w-pics.html
