Default Ls1 brakes

Two questions, Do you for sure need an alignment after annnd has anyone ever done like a 60-0 test to see what the improvment is

I did an alignment but I raised the car back up. As far as a 60-0 test, never measured although my butt said it was alot quicker stop.

Yes you need an alignment to account for small variences between the different spindles.

The braking overall is better but the resistance to fading out is significantly better.

I didn't do an alignment after I swapped. I also haven't done one after installing the bmr springs. If you're only street driving or drag racing I wouldn't worry about it throwing off the alignment too much. If you're auto X'ing or road racing it's a different story but for the majority of people you will be fine without it.

IT does need an alignment for sure. The specs for them are different from 93-97 to 98-02 becasuse of the spindles being larger and the rack n pinion is longer on the ls1.
You will need a alignment for sure. Dont skimp out on that at all. Even just a toe n go will suffice
