Default lets see your aftermarket valve covers

looking into buying a tall set for my z. just to be clear i should be able to use any center bolt style sbc valve cover right? lets see your pics

Cantons look nice and will clear prety much anything.
Make sure you use cork gaskets though, the stock rubber ones don't seal properly.
The good news is that they clear the factory alt, while some other center bolt options do not.

Wow, I haven't seen that pic in forever! That was right after it was built and still sitting in Tony's garage.

I switched to the AFR tall valve covers. Even though the AFR heads have provisions for both center and perimeter bolt covers, the AFR covers themselves are perimeter bolt. Oh, and these won't fit with the alternator in the stock location. I have a Speed Inc. ALT+PS relocation bracket.

Heh, I ripped it out of your thread.
I couldn't find one one mine out of shrinkwrap.
I guess I was a little too excited to get it in the car that day.

qc97z how did run your fuel lines? that looks real clean, is there a aftermarket relocation kit???

It's Speed Inc.'s fuel line relocation kit. Worth its weight in gold IMO.

I dont want to Hijack your thread but what are the valve covers you recommend when your getting some tick from the rockers on the screw slot? Ive heard the composite LT4 chevy sovers at jegs. I love those canton covers btw.
