Default abs inop light on

i recently installed new front wheel hubs on my 94 firebird i cant get the
abs light to go out . i disconnected battery to clear out code .that didnt work
was told to use scanner specific to brake system OBD1 cars to clear out code.
help please. that light is driving me ******* crazy.

Did you ensure that the two wheel sensors were plugged back in properly?

You could have the BCM scanned to pull the proper ABS codes to help your diagnosis.

Or you could just pull the light bulb out of the dash.

You cant clear the abs light with a code reader fyi...its a seperate sysem.

Yeah I should have mentioned that, whoops. There are no (affordable) ABS scan tools available - it's a dealer/shop kind of deal.

... and a dealer/shop will charge an hour of labor which can be anywhere from $90 to $110.

Semi on topic?

I did a small burnout in my z and the abs inop light came on.
Did I damage the brake system?

Check your third brake light, if thats out it will put up a ABS light.
