The red Camaro is my friend Mark Beaver running Stock at Charlotte this weekend. The blue Buick is piloted by none other than Jason Line. This is a heads-up C/SA run. Jason lost! (LT1 vs 455 Stage 1)

I believe those are Stock Eliminator cars, and if I remember right the C/SA record is awfully close to breaking into the 9s, within a few tenths anyway.
I've looked a lot into building a Stock Eliminator car recently and you cannot change a whole lot with the car at all. Stock suspension components for the most part, stock cubic inch motor, allowable .070 overbore. Cam and pistons/rings is where the power is made and that is the "mysterious area" that most people are hesitant to speak on. NHRA limits a lot of the changes but there are gray areas that people take advantage of to get the incredible performance out of these cars.

Before Jason was a World Champion Pro Stock driver he was an NHRA Stock Eliminator World Champion. The Line family is very well known for having strong running Stockers. Jason is also a really nice guy that isn't too big to come out and race with the "little guys" every once in a while.

390 hp/510 tq stock ! My buddy had one in high school, but he couldn't drive. Another buddy borrowed his brothers '70 LS6 Chevelle and smoked him every time along with alot of other people. Those were awesome days. The Camaro looks good too.

THATS AWESOME! Darren i wish i could come down to your neck of the woods and just spend an entire season picking your brain and learning from u man. its incedible some of the things u have done with the LT1. It will be an honor to meet u and it has already been an honor workign with u to create the Street Stock class for the shootout.
thats awesome jason line races with the little guys. imo drag racers r some of the most humble competitors because the drag racing community is more of a family then anything else.

That's a 98 Camaro, but what GIZMO was saying up top is GM submitted the 98 for stock class racing as being LT1 powered. So, it's a 98 with an LT1 as per class rules. Only 99-up are listed as LS1 in the stock classes. I thought it was weird the first time I read the rules.
Darren, which car is "Grump"? "Ta-Dink" is the red 98, then there's the white one and the silver one. What one is what? BTW, how did the LSX event in Atlanta turn out for you? I was at work this weekend and couldn't watch the internet broadcast.
