Back in the day small blocks threw oil everywhere if you ran one sans valve covers. My question is what should I expect to see form an LT1 with LS7 lifters? I ask because I'm not seeing much.

is the motor cold or warm? also weight of oil is a factor...

Cold engine, 5w-30 oil.

My LS7s barely trickled, and every other motor I've seen with them has also, engine hot with 5w30.

Thanks, and I wonder why? Let it run about a minute and it started tossing oil on the headers. But no streams out of the push rods, I was just sort of expecting a real mess. Remember the clips and cut out valve covers for old small blocks?

Engine is all apart now and I'm trying to remember all I need to address before it goes back together.

These are roller motors. They dont need that much oil running on them., Just enough to keep the rocker from galling
