Lt1 tuner needed
#2
From the research I have done, you'll need one of two things. Either someone with LT1Edit and your stock PCM, or an aftermarket PCM (and possibly wiring harness, as is the case with Painless Wiring) and whatever software the aftermarket PCM comes with.
LT1 tuners are seemingly rare. The software/hardware involved is rare. Most people will tell you to upgrade your PCM. Sucks, but it just seems to be a matter of fact. I personally am going to attempt to retain my stock PCM and find someone in my area who does LT1Edit.
If anyone else knows other ways to do this, that would be great.

Alan Futral in Walker, LA...5 minutes from my house. I don't have personal experience, but have heard great things about him and his shop. Plus, he's a sponsor on here.
What area of LA do you live in?

With a 95, you can get the ALDL cables ($80), Tunercats ($70), and have Solomon (LT1pcmtuning.com) tune it for $70 via email. You won't have to ship off your pcm or anything. And you'll be able to change your gears, speedo, shift points, and many other things on your own at a later date without having to pay someone.
Then if you want to datalog, use Freescan ($free) or datamaster ($100), much better than freescan.
This is assuming you have a laptop to put on your passenger seat. Or a desktop you can plug in close enough to your car, to upload a tune.
