Im not 100% sure on what it is.
someone told me it goes between the bellhousing and the slave cylinder.
this is my first swap so im not exactly sure tho.

It has it on the list of parts needed on this website also.

The slave extension is an aluminum piece that goes between the slave and bell housing. Off the top of my head it's roughly 2 inches long. During my swap I had to order one from the stealer-ship. It was pricy but didn't have any choice as I needed to finish my build.
I take it you have tried to get the wiring pigtails from Gmpartsdirect.com with no luck? That is where I got mine back in 05.

I hear they are hard to come by but should be available somewhere.
while this is a ghetto way worst case is if you can find the thickness of this exstension piece you could just get tube spacer(s) the right size (or a whole pile of washers) and space out the slave. Would make it prone to road dirt somewhat but would work.
If you do find one down the line it is very easy to swap out
