Best place to buy an assembled ahort block?
Want to get a forged bottom end and run my same heads.
Was looking at the shortblock from victory racing engines for $3,300 that looks ok. I just wish the pistons and crank were a bit better.
Dont really want to rebuild mine because of the down time. Plus its nice to have an extra motor to build.
Any opinions on where I can get a nice stock displacement or 355 forged shortblock for a reasonable price?
Looking to run about 600 flywheel hp or so on this setup.
Thanks.

I know right.
Those heads were way ahead of their time back in the 90's.
Guys, buying a used motor to rebuild is not really an option since we don't have much in terms of salvage yards or anything out here in Hawaii.
Any other recommendations on the shortblock?

I've been researching short blocks since I'm soon to be buying one. I'm really liking the cnc-motorsports option. Forged with hbeam rods 396 for under 2900 Haven't been able to find one neg feed back or complaint about them yet

If I could find a cheap used motor around here I would grab it and put the Advanced induction forged kit on it.
But I'd like an assembled motor just as good of its well built.
