dumb question about tires
So ashamed i couldn't title it "How to put fatter tires on my camaro" but that's pretty much the question. I know little when it comes to tires and upgrading size. From researching here it looks like i want to go with 315's or 335s? But HOW DO I THIS? lol and which one of two will give me zero fitment issues? There's some debate about the 335's apparently. Do you upgrade your rim size too to fit the tires Again thanks in advanced for not tearing me apart Links to what you guys used would be awesome.

Thanks, good reading.
SO if i read right, been a sleepless night, I can buy myself a 17inch rim pair and throw on the 315's?
The 335's look like they need an 18inch rim or at least that's what one of the guides was saying. I need to know if there's fitment issues
EDIT: errr still lost, any websites for actually buying the bigger wheels?
EDIT 2: I'm just going to wait for someone to set me straight, this is spinning my head. Do i need to change my offset with wider wheels? Why can I not find any wide enough wheels with the right bolt pattern? I just want to put wider tires on my camaro and have that "are those tires sticking out past the fender?" Look.

315 is the width of the tire. The width of the tire needs to match the width of the rim or at least pretty close. to mount a 315 you need a 10 to 12 inch wide rim.
Is this about what your looking for? http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels-fo...02538-3-1.html

I just had 7x11 ZR-1 style wheels put on with 315's a few months ago on my Formula; my car is lowered however with an Eibach Pro kit (1.5 in) so I did have some fitment issues; the bump stops were shot already and had to be cut off; also had to get a local shop to roll my fenders because I was getting some tire/upper fender contact when going over bumps/dips in the road. Now no rubbing...and the guy that rolled my fenders had 335's on his T/A and said I could now fit the same with a little more BFH work on the inside fenderwell Only one way to find out...do it! It was a pain in the *** to get them fitted right but it's well worth it for the stance/traction enhancement. If your not lowered they might fit with no mods whatsoever...depends on the car.

oewheelsllc.com makes amazing wheels for 4th gens that fit great. A 315 is very wide and will require the BFH mod. A 335 is just crazy imho. There are some seams that need to be flattened or they may cut into the tire.

I was looking at these with the 315,35,17 tires, yes?

Will that be to or slightly past the fender line? I want that big, fat looking stance lol

After looking alittle more i plan on doing 315.
Can anyone help me with the proper offset/ backspacing? or at least a within this area? I want them out rather than in.

5-120.65 is the metric equivalent to 5 x 4.75, and the offset of the TTM you posted seems correct. You still might have to BFH and/or roll your fenders, but its not really that big of a deal and it depends car to car. Have you decided on any particular tire you want to use?

Yes, the axle was re-centered with an adjustable panhard bar; but still had some very slight rubbing on the inside fenderwell around the bumpstops...BFH mod took care of it. I've had the pro kit on since 1998 so mines probably sagging a little/lower than normal with 13 year old lowering springs.

they are rubber pieces that absorb some of the shock of your rear end slamming into the bottom of the car when the suspension fully compresses. you probably will not see them as by now i am sure they have rotted away.

Width is all have worry about to fit the tires think 10.5 width is lowest can put 315 on safely. Size of rim don't matter just cost more for tires after 17" 315s get expensive per tire.

I know they are "played out" but the deep dish 17x11 ZR1s have a very nice 56mm offset and require little to no banging/cutting/modifying to fit. I have them on my car with the Sumitomo 315's and have no rubbing issues and my car is lowered an inch or two.
Here are the tires: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes
They run narrow, meaning a Goodyears 315 will be wider, but they still look good and are the cheapest 315 available.
Here's a link to a Ebay with the wheels Im talking about. They are handsome devils. I have the silver ones: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/17-Ri...s#ht_923wt_967
This is a nice easy route for you, and relatively cheap. Tire w/ wheel comes to about $300 each, fronts will be cheaper. Thats a damn good price.
