So what would it take to change my LT1 out of my 96 T/A with an LS1????

Save yourself the headache and just sell your LT1 and buy a LS1 car if you really want a LS engine...It will cost you a lot less time, money, and headaches in the long run...plus you can drive the car immediately instead of having it down god knows how long....we all know our "projects" always take longer than anticipated. Or, do what I did and stroke your LT1, put some ported heads, cam full bolt ons ect...and stomp all over mild LS cars and sound better doing it
