Default ruled out fuel pump...exhaust leak?

well my loss of high end power had me thinking it was low fuel pressure, but I got a gauge and its operating as it should. Now I believe it would be an exhaust leak I have, its very bad and is located ahead of the o2 sensors. These are the stock manifolds, would a bad leak cause my engine to loose both high end and low end power?

and to add..I dont get a high rpm miss, that went away after I replaced the alternator. It just doesn't pull above 5000 rpm's...

Perhaps you should try taping your fuel pressure tester to your windshield. That way you can get a true reading at WOT under full load. Unless you have already done this. Just a suggestion.

EDIT: I would fix that leak before the o2, that is probably a big factor in your loss of power..

yeah I did tape it to my windshield. It read around 40 and at WOT it got to about 47. Idling with the vacuum line on the FPR it read at 46 psi.

I would love to fix the exhaust leak, but the stock manifolds and y pipe are cracked in so many places, and I don't have the money to buy headers..

Perhaps some used shorties? Or, I did see some new stock style manifolds for lt1s on fleabay before...If your on a tight wallet I think they were about $60-80 per manifold..

Whether you have the money now or not you need to get it fixed eventually if you want your car to run properly. Start saving.

I meant I'm on a tight budget until next Friday..I would really like to find some used ones with a y pipe...
Besides I don't have the emissions equipment so I don't need the provisions for that.

If anyone has headers, PM me.
