2000 4.3L S-10 4L60e Trans to 95 LT1...?
I have a rolling chassis 95 LT1 car that is in near perfect shape. I had to sell the engine and 6 speed last year due to not having a job. Now I have found a 95 LT1 engine with 80,000 miles for $800 at a local yard. I also have 2 perfectly good 4L60e's from 2 different 2000' S-trucks. One has been rebuilt with some stronger parts. I plan to get a 3800 V6 car's tailshaft and put it on the S-10 trans. My question is...will the transmissions electrical sensors hook up to the 95 automatic harness that I will be buying from the junkyard? How about the controlling of the transmission...can this be tuned into the ECM? I am having PCM for less do a tune for my 3.42 rear end gears and 3500 TCI stall. The car will also get a 218/224 solid roller Xtreme energy cam with Comp OEM style short travel hyd. lifters and full Comp valve train. Yes I know I just said hyd lifters on a solid roller cam...its a mild enough cam that it will be just fine. Thanks for any help with this subject.

They are both 4L60e's. I have figured out that the newer trans is a 6 bolt tail housing so I guess I will just need a torque arm relocation bracket. I just dont know what to do about making the ecm work and the speedometer still work. Is this something that can be tuned into it? Thanks

2 wheel and 4 wheel drive transmissions are the same the only difference is the rear outputshaft ,the v6 tran should bolt right up,the only thing is the newer 4l60e trans have a fully inclosed bellhousing but the main 6 bolts should line right up.Besides that the only other thing I would do is make sure the flywheel backspacing is the same
