Default Converter question

I know it has been asked and answered before, but I just want to be sure for my setup. I have a 93 a4 with 3.23 gears, full bolt ons and am putting in a hotcam kit this winter. Is a vigilante 3600 a good converter to run with this? From what I have read, it seems that it will be good, but I just want to be sure.

Vigilante is a good quality converter, but they get pretty sloppy feeling when you get up to that kind of stall speed (3600 rpm), especially with mild gears like that (3.23's). A Yank SS3600 will drive a lot better and perform equally or better at the track.

I would have to agree, OP take his advice.

What are your goals/usage of the car? I use to DD mine with a Yank SS3600 and it was nice and tight, I really liked it and sometimes wish I still had it. If it's a DD without much track use I think something like a Yank SS3200 would be real nice with your gearing and a hot cam. The 3600 would be nice if your planning on racing the car often all IMO of course.

I have a yank 3600stall, I love it but kinda thinking maybe a 4000 would've been a better choice but wasnt sure if that high of a stall would have tuning issues
