Default Headers and exhaust for a 97 SS

I have a 97 SS. What option should i go if im looking for a header that will keep the cats and not set any codes. What brand will be the best for the money? Also what would you guys recomend for a cat back system im looking for just a roar when i rev and nice and quiet at idle.

For catback, get a GMMG. Sounds beast at idle and even better when revved. For headers, get pacesetters. They are probably the most popular ones out there for these cars. Are you keeping emissions?

You will most likely have to get aftermarket cats, because 97's have dual cat and most header design will not make it easy to bolt them up.

"Random technology" sells a y-pipe with a cat that you can run headers with.

Are you planning to go with long tube or shortie header?

Yeah, you'll get a code. You just need O2 simulator's for the rear two and should be fine.
