Why does my exhaust stink?

Why does my exhaust stink?
I just brought the t/a out to get the fluids circulating and gears turning etc. and was reminded of this. Ever since I got this new engine, the exhaust has smelled bad. Not that nice rich burning muscle car smell, but almost like a lean smell, and it sticks to you too. It sticks to hair and clothes and you stink the rest of the day. You can't smell exhaust in the car. A while ago a friend followed me down the highway and said he could smell it the whole time.
The car has been dyno tuned and my scanmaster reads the injectors and fuel trims as being right on the money. Exhaust set up in sig.

Yep, if you have a cat on the car, chances are the exhaust smell is coming from that. Other possibilities include a plastic bag stuck on the exhaust and melting, fluids leaking on the exhaust etc.

No sulfur smell.
There's no smoke but it does burn a small amount of oil. I usually have to add 1/4 to 1/2 quart between changes every 5K miles or so.
The exhaust has been the same since my stock LT1 was on the car and it didn't stink back then. There's nothing on or leaking on the exhaust.
I wouldn't think burning that little amount of oil would cause such a strong smell. Very strange.
