Finally time to let the car rip without popping the rear. Drove over to Strange and picked up my S60. Now to get it painted up and get it under the car. Got to put all the new QA1's and springs in and bolt up the rossler th350. Shifter should be here tomorrow and then i can wire in the two step and trans brake. Come on spring!!

Looks nice! Why did you choose a S60? I'm exploring my options for what rear to run and I'm always curious to hear how others came to their decision, especially when it's a less common path.

I won't post what I got it for because no one would be able to get it for the price I paid.

I went with this rearend after many years to come to a decision. I wanted a direct bolt in no modification rearend that could take whatever I threw at it. I like how effecient it is as well. I didn't have to pay extra to go to 35 spline axles as they come standard. Even though I got it dirt cheap, as compared to the other rearends this was the cheapest route for the beefiest rearend. The axle tubes are huge... It costs nothing extra to use my rear lt1 brakes.... I didn't need to check off any additional options. Another reason was Strange is local to me. I ordered through a shop, went and picked it up after it was built.... Came home, called a friend for help to unload it and didn't have to deal with shipping costs or getting it from a freight company.

I think my old pardners 1969 Ford F100 390 pickup had one of those rears!!!!!!My F250 had one but the wheels were 8 bolt

I will be doing my usual ceramic cold coating. I like the finish and it holds up well.

Jerry I would have liked to have one of those "special NASCAR" parts rearends we have talked about for years but yet again, when you speak I listen.... Bolt it up and done. Now I am almost ready to run your bolt on 3rd gen with the cold air intake.

There have been quite a few people ordering the S60 for their F-Body, just not talked about as much as the guys that opt for the Ford rearends.

Nice S60. I love mine. It gives a great piece of mind about not having to worry about the rear breaking on you.

^^^^^^ Yep that's why I got the S60, no fear of ever breaking it, though it's the heaviest of all the rears but I don't care.

I've got an S60 as well. I ordered mine years ago with 5 other guys. So there's 6 of them cruising around out here.

yep. Knowing I can launch it on the brake and a 250 shot and it hold up is good piece of mind. Only problem I have is the car isn't fully tuned and the whole 250 mile break in on the rear end. Right now the car is "safe" to drive that 250 i guess but I got to get it on the dyno to do some WOT runs. Guess it won't be so bad with the 50 mile drive, stop, cool down, repeat another 5 times. Eh....
