Lowering springs.
So I have been wanting to do MUCH work to my baby. and I have many questions. lol but has anyone heard or attempted to lower a 94 z28 with stock springs? I really want to lower the front there is a gap about 3-5 inches it looks like I want to drop it a few inches to tighten that gap. is it possible with stock springs? if not what springs do you recommend?

Highly recommend Sam Strano's lowering springs -- he's a forum sponsor here. http://www.stranoparts.com/
I don't have any decent/recent photos (ugh, I need to wash that truck more often), but this should give you a rough idea. Any lower, and it'd be scraping every speed bump.

I never took before/after measurements, but I hear it's around a 1.5"-drop. Never scraped the car with them (which is why I recommend them), but there aren't a ton of speed bumps in my area. Your mileage may vary. All I can say is that I like them. Handles well with adjustable (yellow) koni shocks, but I'd still like to upgrade swaybars. It's also a good idea to weld in some rear-lower-control-arm relocation brackets to retain the suspension geometry. Adjustable panhard rod helps you recenter the wheels within the frame.
Of course, your suspension should reflect what you use the car for. Drag racing, you generally want soft springs for better weight transfer to the rear wheels. For road course / autox / fun on the street, a stiff suspension is better. If you mix and match, you'll generally wind up with a car that isn't particularly good at either. From what little I understand, anyway. My car's just a toy.
