Plenty of places carry those hoods (reproductions). But if you want an OEM hood your best bet is looking on the forums.

I suppose it depends on how much you have to spend and how much you want to risk with shipping.

Id like to get one for around $500 or $600 shipped or even lower but I doubt there any lower. And not OEM. I want a fiberglass one. Thanks.

Are the Harwood hoods any good? I think I can get one of those for about $650 shipped because I emailed them about any sales or military discounts and they told me to call.

nope. my oem WS6 hood weighs ~ 30-35lbs or roughly half of what the stock steel hood weighed.

but i stole mine back in 2008 before Pontiac parts went through the roof. i only paid $307 for my oem unpained hood from ebay. it was a prototype never installed on a car. needed a little R&R on the corners by the windshield and a small hole filled where the SMC seperated (why they had to redo the mould for the hoods and why these were never put on cars) I got it cheap because it was in michigan in the middle of january and he required local pickup only. worked out well for me because i was living in indiana at the time and have an aunt and uncle that live in michigan about 60 mi west of him so we made a weekend trip out of it, went to miichigan friday night to stay with my aunt and uncle, drove to get the hood saturday in an old subaru station wagon, and then drove back to my aunt and uncles house saturday night. ironically i found an oem WS6 airbox w/ filter and bellow online in oklahoma while staying at the aunt/uncles house. I got that for $115 shipped.

here's a pic of it from the auction.

I will probably be selling an oem WS6 hood before summer gets here. I'm about 4 hours north of you and could meet up.

there's a black one for sale on here for $650 that i think might need repainted. seems like $500ish for one that needs paint and $800ish for one that doesn't seems about right. i've seen people asking as much as $1k for a hood on ebay. i know i couldn't duplicate what i have into my ram air conversion in 2013 prices which is one reason why my car has collectors insurance with agreed value since i doubt regular insurance would cover the money i put into converting to ram air should something happen to the front of the car, let alone what it would actually cost to buy the parts at todays prices to fix it.

i bought my oem hood(ebay, unpainted), airbox w/K&N filter, bellow(both used from someone on another fbody board), grills(hawks 3rd gen reproduction), blockoff plate(GM dealer), and maf extension(Summit) for ~ $500 total and spent $750 on paint/install including repainting my sail panel. this was back in early 2008 FWIW.
