I've searched this forum and a great deal of z28 forums looking for the answer but cannot find it because of my specific situation. I have the opportunity to buy a 93z28 for 2000 dollars because of some body damage that I have the capacity to fix, but it is of course speed density. The car has 140,000 miles, long tube headers, and an a4. My question is, should i ****** up this good deal and deal with the tuning issues later? Or because it costs so much to convert it to self-tuneable system should i just start with a different car? I've seen the which is better argument rage on with the usual answer being keep what you have it is expensive and a pain to sawp. But I've never seen anyone ask before the purchase. Any help would really be appreciated.

i would buy it unless it already has tuning issues. if you go throwin a cam and heads or more on it you gonna want a professional tune anyways unless your a grade A tuner.

$2000 for an LT1 that has cosmetic damage and that many miles is a little much, the long tubes dont really add to the resale value any

2000 for a wrecked 93 a4 with 140,000 miles? PASS. You can get a good running 94-95 m6 for that price if you hunt. That's WAY too much. I wouldn't pay over $900

Really? I can't find any here in Tennessee less than 3000 unless the motor is locked up. The body damage isn't really a full blown wrecked issue. Just a dent in the rear drivers side quarter. I'd drive for 3 hours to get a 94-95 no matter the transmission for 2k. I've been all over craigslist for 5 months looking.
