Noticed the same thing on a set of OBX headers. Have no idea why they're not inward but maybe it's a Kooks thing?

Why the hell would the bungs not be inward on both sides? That makes zero sense. I take it this results in no problems though?

My ancient pacesetters have them facing inward on both. I'm still torn on ever replacing my headers, I want to go turbo someday, but I suppose if I found an affordable supercharger setup used someday I would replace my headers at the time then. For now while I have the motor apart I'm just going to knock the rust off these pacesetters and spray them, knowing they will eventually look like rusted junk again.

With the one facing the floor will it hit the floor board? Seems like a shitty location

Nope, plenty of room. Needs an O2 extension harness on passenger side.

I would think having the 02 sensor facing upwards would help to keep sensor from getting knocked around if you ran over something. But yes there is plenty of room.
