Default little lt1 rocks out over 700 on the engine dyno!

well, put the motor on an engine dyno.

made a few tweaks from last years configuration. and she made 692 on 91 pump gas, and 725 with some ms109 i think there is another 5-10hp with a little more timing.

hopefully i can get her to the track in a few weeks.

long live the red headed step child!!!!

So is this new motor got the ring gaps to survive a lot of nitrous? I would imagine since no one builds a new motor to go slower. Looks like you should be able to bury your car into the 8s.

When do your tracks start closing? Mine have about another month and then they start closing up.

Man solid numbers can't wait to see track results! Haven't done a search but do you mind sharing some engine specs,cr,heads/intake etc? Either way good luck with rest of build

Edit* ok you answered my question in other link!

Awesome!
I think you'll get that 9 NA, taner.......and with a 6-spd! That's more than enough power, and from your launches I've seen on the juice, I don't see the 6-spd being as much of a handicap as it is in typical hands
How high are you spinning it?

lol, thanks guys, i posted the pics of the dyno sheets in the other thread
i was spinning the motor to 7650 through the traps. but now i was able to see she peaks at 7300, so i just changed the rear gear. that should back it down a hair. which should hopefully make it more efficient out the big end. hopefully it will only run the traps at 7500. still making good power even there.

hit'em up. i hate to say this but if i were you i would take that perimeter plate and immediately throw it in the garbage! or better still would be good if you could return it.

if you are gonna spray small you should be ok, if you spray it large good luck. i have that exact same plate just anodized black sitting in my garage next to the piece of **** G force transmission parts that are rated for 1200 horse... oh yeah Fawk you G force.

I appreciate the constructive criticism lol! I've yet to even use it but plan on trying it out next Sunday. I will be doing some test passes just to make sure everything is working properly then off to the track on Tuesday.I plan to go to a fogger system over the winter.I hoped to run a 200-250 on it this yr yet do you see any problems with that or anything I should pay closer attention to? Thx

Ive never asked you what ignition your running? Also do you run a MAF? Just always been curious about your setup... If your spinning the motor that high you have to be running FAST or 24x or you have an opti that Zeus himself **** down from Mount Olympis...

Nice! You have one hell of a combo to be making that kind of power at only 7300 .

i had one potential buyer but when i threw out a number for everything, i can understand why he couldn't justify moving forward. it was more than a small fortune.

i run the ultimate opti! made by none other than MSD. and yes it is a front mount distributor, lol! just search my name on GM high tech perf. website. you will find the article to see the coplete setup. i run xfi , so no MAF for me. i haven't run a maf in about 9 years.

what is really funny is my car is faster than my bike! ha ha ha! lt1 > zx14

Couple bolt-ons would fix that LOL!

Thinking of throwing a 40-50 shot on my 14R, but either way it will never run the right number at the track since I refuse to stretch it - even though its not like my ZX6, believe it or not I love the twisties on it .
