Obd1 sucks. Stall wall issues, can't read codes and retrieve live data unless you have a sofisticated scanner, etc.

Tunercat OBD2. LT1 Edit also.

OBD1 is OK with the stall wall fixed. I have some pretty fast OBD1 LT1 customers out there, with 4400 & up converters. No issues.

TTS Datamaster is excellent scan & logging software, and it uses the same cable as OBD1 Tunercat. Customers email Datamaster logs to me all the time. Best I have seen. I like it better than my GM Tech1A.

??Stall wall is a simple fix, you can read codes and as Ed says, use
datamaster to scan live data..Plus there is free software out there..

This is when you tranny will not shift unless you lift off the throttle, It sometimes happens with larger converters,But it can be fixed.
