Breaking in the new engine (Procharged F1A LTx)
It was a beautiful day so I decided to take the bird out for a ride in mexico. Most of the pulls were in 3rd or 4th at a lazy 3k rpm hit. I was granny shifting (and not double clutching like I should) but I wasn't looking to kill myself. The last one was in second at around 3500. I got some light tire spin on the hit but I'm still amazed these old MT DR's still hook up. I drove about 40 miles all around town (mostly highway) but no one wanted to play . The meth is off for now and I'm still on the old dyno tune. Once everything is broken in (~500 miles), I will take it for the retune and see what she does. Click on the link to watch in HD.

Thanks guys. Hopefully the rest of the break in goes well. I had issues early on with spark plugs (BR7EF). I was using an AC Delco plug on the prior build which could take a beating. Everyone on the internet uses the BR7EF or similar so I figured I would give them a shot. Went through two sets of those and it just ran like crap in general. Went back to the Delco's and its feels like a totally different car.

I wish the hobby was that cheap...or I had more self restraint.
Racewars is a secret yo. Meet you in the desert.
Thanks!
The top vid is using a GoPro 3 Black with the std enclosed case. Bottom was with my OG GoPro HD in the enclosed case. No mics. The GoPro 3 makes the exhaust sound a little bit higher pitch IMO. It's significantly deeper in person.

I'm hoping for mid to low 10s. The car is full weight plus some. Stereo, A/C, heavy Kenny Brown DD SFCs, 6 pt bar, S60, etc etc. I went to a UMI road race k-member and tubular upper and lower a-arms while putting in the rebuilt engine. I have a lot of work to do on the launch.
Thanks! How is your car doing?? I haven't seen anything new in a while.

My car is mostly just been sitting under the car cover sleeping There are a few things I have done, but nothing major. I have to say again, "That car is sick!!". Have fun in Mexico this summer
