Default turbowerx scavenge pump wiring

I installed a base model Turbowerx "Spartan" scavenge pump, now according to the manual a 10amp fuse should be fine however it seems to pop them... should I try a 15 or 20 amp fuse? Will this cause damage and what does anyone else use for a fuse on these pumps

Mine is a 70amp relay, and a 30 or 40 amp J fuse.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot why would you wire in a relay.... on mine I wired into an existing slot in the fuse block that was available for switched on power... is it better to wire it the way you did

Uh, cause none of the wiring in a stock fuse block is really capable of running a pump like that continuous.

That would explain why mine blew after 20 minutes of use... need more info on your wiring setup... you run to a factory relay or did you run your own, is it set up so when the car is on accessory II mode it turns on

Maybe you should consider taking the car to a performance shop.

Otherwise, google automotive relay. Learn.

I run all my stuff via one of these

Manual triggered on/off.
