obd2 Lt1 Datalogging!!!
Please Please someone help me. I am looking for the best way to data log my 1996 camaro. I have Jet DST to tune the car with and now need a way to data log the car instead of taking it to the dyno every time i want to try something new. I was looking at scanxl and obdlink because i need a good scantool too. How is scanxl at data logging and how is it as a scan tool. Can i do function test with scanxl? Any help will be greatly appreciated because i have been looking for away to data log for months now.

Not the best way but an option I will be exploring is my old Hypertech3 programmer with a scan cartridge for my 97 obd2. I used it a few times in the past so I'm not to familiar with it but I think you can download a recording to a pc. I just ordered the Jet DST myself and am having a hard time finding functional logging software for a pc. If I come across something that looks promising I will post back.

MXscan was developed a few years ago to use the Jet DST/Tunercats for OBD2, but I don't think it's available any longer. It was beta and had MANY bugs, but it is what I still use. One major problem is that I couldn't lot knock or retard with it, but I successfully used it to tune fueling.
