Default Lt1 and 4l60 question

Ran into a snag when trying to pull my motor...
No matter how hard I tried I could not get the crank to turn so it could get to the flywheel bolts....

Yes it was in neutral....

I had to go ahead and pull the motor and tranny out together and now that they're out I'd like to seperate them.

Any ideas why it won't rotate?
It did run before I pulled it........

Thanks

Did you pull the spark plugs out? And make sure there's no fluid of any kind in any of the cylinders. The other thing is, that you could always bump the starter to turn it, but do the first two things first. If none of that works, you could put the driveshaft in the tranny, put it in a higher gear and see if you can turn it from the back.

Never mind

Found the problem...
Broken rod on cylinder 6 hung up not allowing the crank to rotate

Youch! Time for that ''big'' engine you've been wanting.

At least the rod didn't go threw the side of the block.
