Why would you change your plugs every other oil change?

I love how Ed can give a perfect response with real life examples that answers everything and still get his post ignored .

Who ignored Ed? It reads like Ed's advice was followed and stepped headers were ordered. "Over 400whp but less then 450whp stepped headers will be faster". I think the OP's car falls right in that category...

Plug changes aren't terrible on the stepped Kooks. A ratcheting stubby 3/4 and a short plug socket are your friend though. The driver side is easy, passenger side #2 and #6 are kind of a pain. Mainly because #2 you have to be a contortionist to get to with the a/c stuff in the car and 6 the motor mount gets in the way.

Thanks for the heads up. That's exactly what I use now to do plugs. Open ended 3/4 and a ratchet closed end with a plug socket. Makes plug changes on these cars not bad at all in my opinion. The headers are made to order. I am getting excited to get it all on, hear and feel how it runs.

Another thing to keep in mind, if you have an after market pan, you will need to relocate the oil filter. It's tight with the stock oil pan. With the Stef's pan, we had to relocate the oil filter. No big deal, Moroso and many other make SBC relocation adapters. The starter bolts are also harder to get to, you'll need universal joints and extensions. But if I can get it off the car, any one can.
