Floor/underbody clearance on passenger side when using Pacesetter headers....
Anyone have issues on the passenger side with hitting the floor on acceleration?

like every other person that has had that problem (including me) it's actually the Driver side.! actually what I read from hear, a few people put a Jack to the floor board or slightly lowering the car onto a Jack stand (Right above the indentation of the exhaust ypipe). Some thought it to be a terrible idea but I found it work very well. my only solution actually. "No more Clunking"

Guys, I have these headers on both my 95 T/A manual trans, and on my 95 Z28 auto. I had issues with the drivers side on the Trans am, but I'm having issues on the passenger side on the z28.
And yes, I installed new motor mounts along with the new motor.
No one else has issues with the pass side near the collector y pipe connection?

personally I don't see why it would matter from auto to manual. but now that you say it I do remember noise on my passenger side. Although it was a lighter noise, more like tinging&pinging. sure enough I think it was the header & heat shield. I could see them touching from above looking through the engine bay. I didn't feel like taking my exhaust back down so I just shoved some exhaust wrap between all contact points at the firewall/header. never heard it again.

I Forgot one more possible problem lol. more so another clunking noise I had was the exhaust resting on the tunnle brace. w What I did was 2 flex pipes in my ypipe. Less stress on exhaust & so It won't slam into the brace. I also wrapped the tunnle brace with heater hose to cushion the blow (if so). I guess I'm good at rigging lol
