The car is heavy correct? Any chance you'd be willing to pull 300-400lbs out of it? Fiberglass hood, k member, crash supports, airbags, firewall rubber, the expensive stuff won't cause alot of sacrifices, except your wallet.
Nope. As stated I won't compromise and want to keep the car the way it sits. Nothing has been pulled out of it except spare tire and jack. Sees the street far more than track. SS hood is fiberglass. Cam was making power to 6800rpm/shifting at 7100rpm/crossing traps at 6900rpm and running 27" Hoosiers. Always have run the stock wheels up front too:

Back in 1997 when steel wheels were $50 a piece from a junk yard and car was running 12.2's w/ 1.75 60':

Did you really put a smaller cam than stock in yours? If so, I'd keep quiet if I were you...

3 2 7 LT1 for ever. Glad it's going back together at what ever pace. I think when you have start worrying about things like retirement and health insurance it takes the place of F-bodies and getting a car done.

Thanks. Yeah, not going to look for anything spectacular from the new motor. I dub thee, Project Mediocrity.

Good to see some progress with the car. I have not been on here in ages and see your post. Funny how house stuff and other BS takes over the car stuff fund in a hurry. Home ownership is not all what it's hyped up to be

Hey Glen. McCheck has been sent so the ball is back in the builder's court. Once this pile is together I'll have to make the rounds up Maryland way. You and I can be the creepy dudes in the parking lot that are 300 years older than the rest of the crowd.

Nice hole in the top of the intake port runner. That should really clean things up. Thx for sharing.
