Default help needed!!!

So i took my 95 camaro out today for about an hour. Ran great. Turning into my garage the car started backfiring some and eventually shut off. I went to start it back up and it started but would not idle, sounded like it was still trying to start up/flooding out???... but was running. I tried to hit the gas pedal to keep it running but it made no difference. Let the car sit for about 10 minutes and tried it again and it started up fine idled fine/ acted like nothing was wrong. Drove it another 50 feet and shut off again. Started it up and yet again it was acting up. seems like it was running pig rich! Wideband was maxed out( wasnt even reading on the guage.) Long story short i finally got it in the garage and got to checking things out, fuel pressure was good, no check engine light, ac delco opti is about 5 months old. I have not changed anything on the car. I looked into the car further and saw a leak on no.8 cylinder head gasket. Could that be causing all the problems? Stock temp guage was in the normal mark and temp guage was at 200 degrees. Someone please help!
