Default Oil pan question

Does anyone know the size of the hole for the dipstick on the p/s of the block? I guess the Canton oil pan I got has a dipstick on the top of the pan on the d/s so I need to jb weld a freeze plug in on the p/s

I'm not sure I understand. There is a built in dipstick in the pan on the drivers side of the oil pan. On the passenger side the block has a hole where the dipstick goes but it will not fit into the pan so I need to plug it so oil doesn't spew out. Unless I'm missing something?

Yea I have teh same pan, and that port is for an oil heater to thread in. Do you have a dipstick threaded in there and if so, can you actually get it with a starter and headers?

Otherwise, RTV and a 3/8 bolt will seal up the block pass through for OE dipstick.

A 3/8 bolt with RTV will seal up that dipstick hole on the passenger side by the starter?
