Finally dynod my lt1 swapped 79 z28
First off, it made a lot more than what I was expecting after researching all the forums. The car is my 79 z28 that I have restored over the last 6 months. Paint/full driveline/interior. I'll post up some pictures here shortly. Here is a run down of the mods.
1993 lt1 6 speed
Rebuilt by me with stock rotating assembly still std bore.
Clevite bearings
Total seal rings
Completely Stock heads with 918 valve springs and crane 1.6 golds
Cc503 camshaft
Ported lt1 intake
Hooker 1 3/4 long tubes
Full 3" mandrel bent exhaust with pro X1 borla mufflers.
Tuned sd by me with tuner pro :
It put down 374.5rwhp. For some reason they didn't show the torque number on the printout. I pulled it to 6500 but it didn't gain anything after 6k, but it never fell off . I showed up expecting 340-350 from what I've seen. Also this was on a dyno dynamics. For comparison my good friends 6 speed cam/Bolton ls1 trans am made 384rwhp but tbh I haven't retuned it since we put the ls6 intake on it a few weeks back. There also was 16 mustang 5.0 that put down 382rwhp stock. Anyways just thought I would share my results. It'll be going down the track here once the weather cools off a little more

Lol I actually painted the intake red. It's just a lt1 but it has been ported. The heads are 100% stock though, I changed springs and seals, and sprayed them down real good.
Thanks for the compliments everybody. I'm almost 100% done with the car and I will start my 67 ss chevelle project ls/6 speed swap.

It’s been a few years, but just figured I’d do an update on the z28. Thanks again for the kind words and interest.
I added some cal trac bars, 20” torque thrust and a nitrous kit since the last update. I’ve mainly been focusing on my 79 5.3 turbo trans am but still play with the camaro from time to time.
I bought a dynojet at the beginning of last year and have made tons of dyno pulls with the camaro.
Dyno sheet is with 4 degrees of timing out and then a 100 shot.. It has made mid low 370’s a handful of times with 27 degrees on motor. Usually lingers in the high 360’s.
anyways hope you guys enjoy, happy hot rodding.
