Default exhaust questions.

Pretty soon i will be buying a lt1 trans am. Hopefully i will get enough money from my talon to buy a full exhaust system, anyway i was wondering what you guys would reccomend for LTheaders and an exahust system? the pacesetter headers look awesome but is there an exhaust system those LT's hook up to? eh sorry if some of these questions sound stupid im new to these cars :-D

I have pacesetters and they work great. I also have true duals so I don't know if there's a y pipe out there that hooks up to them or not. You can always get one made then buy whatever muffler you want that fits the car.

so basically u custom made your exhaust, since you dont have cats you wont pass emissions right? i really am getting sick of staring at my 4 banger it might run tens but its ugly as all hell..basically my plans are intake, hood, exhaust, nitrous, slicks. anything else i should add or look forward to?

add rear end to that list if you want nitrous and slicks.

pacesetter sells a y-pipe so that you can hook up a catback system.

they aren't the best header, but they are the cheapest and will work well. i'm picking up a set because i'm getting them for disgustingly cheap new and coated. i also can't run something like a hooker/jet-hot or nice LT setup because i'm lowered. the pacesetters give nice clearance and i'll still make better power with them over my MACs and get a coated setup so it's worth it to me.

if you're looking for all out speed then look at something like hooker or jet-hot (seems to have coating issues a lot) which are still moderately priced. i'm not sure on the price of the new Kooks LT1 headers but i'm afraid to look. FLP are mighty pricey too.
