for a bolt on kit its ok i guess,if you are looking for more power you will modify that 4000.00 kit.my set up that is not finished yet is less expensive than that and has way more power to be had, based on others we have fabricated so if you are looking for about 430rwhp that upgraded kit is for you but if you want 660-720rwhp you will need a set up like mine.please understand i am NOT talking crap about the STS kit its a great system and nearly 100% safe(foul proof)but its not designed to run the way some others want to.PM me if you want other contact info..

I'm running the STS on my 94 z28. Love the kit. It's amazing. I'm currently pushing 377/378 on a stock lt1 with the hot cam. I think cause of my 410's and camshaft I saw lower dyno numbers. Only thing I dont like about the kit is it hangs very low to the ground. I have exactly exactly
2 1/2" of ground clearance -- that's it. Hopefully my moser 9" and taller tires raise the rear up a bit more. Most have a ground clearance of 4" thow.
I would defently recommend this kit. If you have anymore questions about this kit - just let me know - Mike

ok well i have mods in sig, and want to go turbo.

my car has 85k on it and runs great. To get a turbo kit installed will cost a lot of money like 4k right? Well are there any supporting mods i will need to make sure this doesnt blow my car up?

I have called several shops around the area and a basic price range for a turbocharger installation is in the range of 1,500. - That was for the rear - mounted turbochargers. Make sure you upgrade the injectors, fuel pump and have the car dynotune. You will need the ls1 kit also - the lt1 kits do not clear long tubes. It's basically the same except the ls1 kits route differently up front then the lt1's. Also make sure you either run a intercooler or meth. I chose the meth injection because it was a little cheaper then a intercooler. You should be fine. My turbo is set at 5psi low and 7psi high on my stock engine. I'm running low boost untill I have enough for a forged engine.

I've got the STS kit also, and for the most part I really like it. I upgraded injectors to 42# and fuel pump to Walbro 255 lph because it was leaning out on the dyno at 100% duty cycle. Ground clearance is probably my biggest complaint. It's about 4.5 inches on mine, but I also slightly changed how it's supported. I got a discount on the turbo kit- paid about $3500 with the boost controller, another $320 for injectors, $150 for fuel pump, and $450 for dyno tune. It's tuned at 7 psi and made 378/399 on the dyno. Also, I've got no meth and no intercooler.

I have the sts kit also, If ur car is lowerd like mine u will have almost no ground clearance. Speed bumps will ruin your set up.
Cant tell u how well it works casue i only got 100 miles on my set up and then my rocker arms decided they did not want to be on the car anymore..
I was doing tunning at 3k cruise speed when it happend. (was making 3-4lbs of boost) at 3k

Kinda off topic but the 9" will raise your rear a little bit with stock springs. It was something I observed with my setup. How much I don't know exactly, probably an inch or so.

I am finishing up a homemade kit that I a selling. Righ now it consists of the manifolds mergepipe, T67 turbo (which would be an additional $$ upgrade on the sts kit, and wastegate). All you would need is to make the cold piping or I may be ale to do it. as far as the install, you just need to bolt it in. Here are some pics...pretty easy to assemble so far. Email me with questions rather than pm's (jrbellas95z28@yahoo.com).

I am running the stock fuel pressure regulator. The AFR is between 11.5-12.0 from 3500 to 5750 rpm. Drivability is good for the most part, but I have been noticing some slight bogging/surging at light-moderate throttle recently. I also have a rich condition at idle, but haven't figured out the cause yet. Both might be related to O2 sensor problems.

do u know if speedinc. provides a base tune for
turbo lt1's like urs, since mine is very similiar to urs
i ask because im also building a rear mount setup for
a 95 lt1 car and have all the hardware pretty much fabbed up
the only real obstacle is the tuning
it is a t67 turbo with a a/a intercooler and alky injection
plumbed at the intake manifold with a boost referenced solenoid
which will light up at whatever psi i set it at
its a stock rebuilt shortblock with lower than stock scr like 9.8:1
i beleive it should take 10 psi on it with pump gas
and or make close to 450 rwhp if not more
but like i said the tuning is the only obstacle and its gettin harder to find
good turbo lt1 tuners imo

I believe Speed Inc. only offers a full dyno tune for turbo applications. Their base tune only covers things like fan temps, shift points, injector size, gear changes, etc. Their dyno tune for FI is priced at $450. When I first got the sts turbo installed, I contacted pcmforless but they said I'd be better off with a dyno tune.

i custom fabriacted evrything at my shop
using long tubes to a 2 1/2 in y pipe merge to 3 in to the t67
and then 2 1/2 cold intake plumbing to the fmic with a dv and
dual 500cc nozzles which activate at 3psi using a pressure
switch with a fuel solenoid wired to the switch
its a custom setup for now
i can post up pics when i get it all installed and tuned
