Ive got a buddy who is looking for a replacement for his stock water pump. Hes looking into the electric pumps, specifically at the meziere. Its only rated for 2500 hrs of use, he was wondering if this is normal or if there was a better deal out there. What do you guys suggest?

I am using the csr, I have gotten 15,000 miles 1 1/2 years it gave sgnificant gains and was easy to install. Some other pumps require cutting fan shroud. With a 160' thermo and a cooling fan tune car never gets over 185 degrees.

I'm using the CSI..... when it was CSI... don't have any long term results from it cause i tore my motor down shortly after i installed it....
I know that it was a PITA to modify the housing the fit the little "ears" on the csi pump tho..... had to get some tig welding done to it as well to seal up the weep hole and plug the driveshaft hole....

i have the csr/csi water pump and its 1 1/2 yrs going but my car has been down for 6 months of that time =) but when the car was running i was scared the car wasn't reaching open loop =O usually set around 160 - 165
the install was easy put grinding compound on the ears and set it on the housing then used the die grinder and a aluminum bit 20 mins later it was on the car
