New heart for the formula
Ok guys/gals. I have been looking at bolt ons and looking at gains from these parts and am getting tired of seeing minimal gains from them due to having a STOCK LT1. So I am ready for a heart transplant in her and this is what I am thinking:
Eagle ESP Cast/Steel 3.750" Stroke Crankshaft (Internal Balance) 1 piece rear seal part # 10352375057i or 2pc crank 10350375057i
5.7" 5140 steel SIR (Full float bushed) rods with ARP bolts (SIR5700BBLW), these rods are clearanced for up to a 600 lift cam!
Keith BLACK KB135 DISH PISTONS .030, 040, .060 pistons 10.4:1 comp w/58cc head, or 9.8:1 with a 64 cc head, 8.7:1 with a 76cc head. (Compression also dependent on your deck height, advertised compression is at ZERO deck) If your deck hight is higher your compression will be slightly lower.
Keith BLACK KB134 FLAT TOP PISTONS .030, 040, .060 pistons 11.8:1 comp w/58cc head, or 11:1 with a 64cc head.
Premium Moly Speed Pro Ring Set
Clevite 77 MS909P Main & CB663P Rod bearings
Now add to this that I will be having new heads and a new cam along with this. I am looking at like a 205 head with a CC306 cam or something to that effect. Will also be adding 1.6RRs and roller lifters. Just so you guys know all this.
Give me some opinions on it as far as stall size I am looking at and other points to look into. I will have 3.73s in the rear when the motor is done and we install it. Also this is an a4 car.

its not based on power or times. I will get what I get out of it. I am looking for you guys' opinions on the whole thing. I am just tired of seeing minimal gains from bolt ons and decided since the motor has 176k on it now I will pull it to refresh it except it will not be a 350 when I am done LOL. Anyways, I have seen many of these guys running the 383 stroker and the 355 stroker, but want to make sure the parts and plans are right before I go get it all and get started and run into a problem.
Thanks to you guys so far that have replied to this.
