the car is an auto will still be serving as a daily driver i know that these motors are differenc than the ls1 as far as cam size and preference goes so im curious to see what kind of cams are people using for the lt1 and typically what are the additional parts needed for the installation and what kinds of gains can be expected another thing this car still has to pass emissions

I just had a thread like this. Some guys had some thoughts in here about autos as well. They suggested a cc503 cam with a stall and it would still be GREAT for DD and gives you very good power!

CC 306 is a good cam, GM847 is a pretty nice cam aswell. But you'd have to have a Stall Converter to go with either. Could also go the LT4 Hot Cam route aswell.

Well before you look at a cam you need the supporting mods first like full exaust, intake, and stall at least. If the car needs to pass emissions i would suggest the LT4 hotcam kit or if you are going with heads also I'd suggest contacting lloyed elliot(sp?) about one of his LE1 head/cam setups. And before anyone knocks the LT4 hotcam setup I know someone local who has full exaust, intake, 12 bolt with 3.42's, lt4 hotcam, and a zex dry kit (125 shot) who runs mid-low 11's @125mph

i got a crane powermax 2033. very mild, great for a daily driver and has a great sound to it. makes nice power. i havent gotten a tune yet but when i do im sure it will be even better. daily driveability is not sacrificed at all.
