Question Loose steering wtf

'Used the search function but couldn't find much of anything on this topic. Here lately it seems like the steering wheel has been requiring more turn for normal steering, not much, but noticable. I haven't found any leaks and the PS fluid is clean (brake system, power steering system, and trans flushed and refilled last summer). Also, last time I changed the oil, I hurt my arm jacking up the car (aggravated a recent weight-lifting injury) and when I came back outside, my friends had already finished the oil change but had positioned the jack stands under the front control arms. Could that have caused any damage?

I'm not that worried but I was hoping for some advice on the matter (and hoping to avoid a trip to the garage). Thanks in advance.

i changed my rack out not to long ago for a GM reman... and its been great ever since... its probably the inner tie rods that has all the slack in them... you can just change those but i did all of it at once so it was like brand new..
