Default SLP Loudmouth On.

Got the SLP Loudmouth put on. Fit, Finish, and Sound all are fantastic. Still have the factory Y and Cat. I have heard negative things about the sound after the cat is gone. What exactly happens? Gets waaaaaaaay loud or what??

It was always my dream back in the day to own a Camaro with a Loudmouth exhaust. Love the sound.

I have the SLP Headers and Y-pipe w/o any cat plus the Loudmouth. Its loud as ****. Pops alot under heavy deccleration. But sounds really good at idol. Maybe it is an aquired taste. But I love it. I drive from Virginia to Michigan alot and my ears never ring afterwards. Maybe that is because of the 6-speed at 60mph I'm only at 1200rpm.

Yeah, I tend to travel at 90mph and 2000rpm in 6th, and with the music WAY up to go over both the exhaust and wind noise from having the tops off. That may be the cause of the ear ringing, but I just blame the exhaust because it so damn loud. You are dead on about the popping, it seems to be caused by decceleration only. At idle it does sound like I have a way more aggressive cam than I do. Personally I think the best sound is the 5-6k rpm range, especially the WOT 6k rpm shifts. It sounds like a really nasty growl.

Yea everyone has there own opinion on what sounds "good". Some people like soft spoken pipe, and others, like myself enjoy the in your face type sound. To each there own, its all about building the car that YOU want, not everyone else. That wouldnt be any fun now would it.

haha setting off car alarms, getting harassed by the cops, having neighbors call. that seems pretty obnoxious to me. it droned like you wouldnt believe. i couldnt hold a conversation with my g/f or whoever would be in the car with me. it was just straight up loud. and it sounded like a tractor. not bashing the loudmouth....some people like it. but its not my tone. the corsa sounds bad *** and im 100 percent happy with the way my car sounds now!
