Default opinions on M/T et streets?

I'm wanting to switch to a different tire from the Nitto 555Rs. They're crap and I can't get a better launch than 1.97. I had the chance to run some m/t et streets for one pass, and managed to hit a 1.88 60 foot (easily) and I know there's more left in that for sure. Unfortunatly I went to hit 3rd and hit 5th LOL

Anyway, does anyone here run these tires? Did anyone switch to these from another brand of DR, and what was your reaction? How long do they like to be heated? What 60s are you guys cutting with these in M6 cars?

never used anything else but if feels as if they are stuck to the pavement and never slip even with 2-3 second burnouts

not a M6anymore...but i am cutting 1.5's on 28x11.5-15 ET streets.
The ET street is a good tire for the track, if you are planning on driving on the alot stay with a drag radial, I like the nitto's for DD duty

your traction issues are prob. more of a suspension issue than a tire issue.

When my car was a M6 I cut 2.1's on 275/40-17 BFG KDW's, 2.0's on 315/35-17 Nitto's, and 2.0's on 26x11.5-16 ET Streets, on a RR setup.

10 bolt issue is going to be fixed in a month or so - I'm buying a 12 bolt out of a wrecked 02 camaro. 3.42 gears though, so no upgrade there.

Yeah I have some springs along with LCAs/LCARBs that all need to be installed. I'm hoping all of that plus the tires and powershifting will get me the 12.9x pass I've been wanting. My beastie already has the MPH for 12s when I powershift - just not the traction for it!! Not bad for long tubes back exhaust and a cai huh

I've been thinking about getting some drag shocks too. Oh and yeah these tires will be mounted on a seperate set of rims - I have some kumho ecsta 711s for the street lol

Yeah, that 10 bolt isn't going to last long with an m6. I busted mine twice w/dr's and 3.73 gears and I wasn't at the track. Now I have a 12 bolt.

The MT DRs are probly going to suit you better as an M6, they last a lot longer and hook just as good.

I'm running the 26 ET Streets as well with a 4.10 rear gear. The best 60' I've had so far was a 1.82. What's your launch method with these?

you should be able to do better than both those times with a stock car on stock tires.

the nittos are great for daily driver tires and the et streets are good for track use if your not going to use a slick.
