Default LT-1 cutting at 5000 rpm!!??

Guys with LT-1s I neeed your help, A freind of mine has just did a swap to a M6 the car is a 94 camaro. The work done to it is as follow:-

305 compcam, the pistons are doom and the heads are stock cleaned only and intake manifold is ported. The engine is over 60 bore. Thats all what I know but by the mechanic calculations who did the work the car has 12:9 CR. the only problem with the car , it cuts till 5000 rpm . the car has stock M6 tune and stock injectors. Drives really strong, actually never drove an LT-1 like that before , we beat soo many ls1s on the street with cam and bolt-ons any sugestions? any ideas?

I will try to get more info about the car very soon.

Thanx.

I have a modded lt1 that cut out at high rpms. The msd pro billit distributer took care of that. Its 500$ but should fix the prob. If not, the stock one wont last very long once it's modded.

Could be anything ignition related, opti/coil/icm/plugs/ etc. fuel pressure, voltage, bad 02s, vaccum/exhaust leak, bad tune, any number of other things.

Mine was a worn coil. I replaced that and 3 opti's before going to the Delteq.
