Default Temp problem

My 95 formula has about 74k on it now and im having a heating problem. I just changed the old thermo that was bad to a new 160.degree one it runs fine while drivng when its cool or on the highway but when in the city if I dont turn my A/C on or heat it will shoot up past 210 and about halfway to f the red. I cant tell what it is. When i first installed the thermo it was running great never got over 180 but I found out it diidnt seal right and was leaking a little out of the W/P spout. so I fixed it and that was when I started having the heat issues. does anyone know what the could be.

that's normal.

get a tune or fan switch if you want it to stay cooler.

Stock fan temp are 227 and 235 which keeps you right around 230-240 degrees. Thats normal.

you can buy a switch. SLP has them but they are plain and expensive. or you can go the route of custom ones like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMESE%3AIT

You can also have the on temps changed through tuning.
