It could be a plug wire, but I'm going to lean more to either the coiol ot the opti. First (and free) make sure your plugs are all in good. I had the #1 almost come out on me and it created a misfire like condition. Arc out the wires and make sure you're getting spark on all 8 and the coil before you change the opti.

I had a similar issue with my 94z28, It was a combonation of cocrosion on the inside of the coil wire and coil post corosion, also I found later that the red wire on the harness that atatches to the coil had a break in it, the wire was just kinda mashed together, fixed that and never had anymore problems with ignition

Default Misfire

I just went through the same problem. Is the car running ok when your at lower rpms ? if so then the problem is your coil. I just replaced mine and it solved the problem.Bought one at Oriely's for 14 bucks. I had replaced my Opti, plugs, and wires but it turned out to be the coil.

Sometimes I wonder if it's a bad coil that leads to fried optis?
