Okay guys when looking at the opti what does the barrel or prong on the bottom of the opti hook up to? My car was down quite a while before putting it back together ancd I can remeber what it hooks up to. It is in the middle of the opti at the bottom and I think it faces to the right.

That would be for a vaccum line, it either goes to the intake manifold, or to the inlet elbow, I don't remember exactly. There should be 2 provisions on a 97, one goes to each location.

Goes to the inlet elbow. The smaller one that's metal and pressed into the back goes to the intake manifold. I am positive of this.
