Question Springs for 383 with hot cam

Valve Springs, Dual, 1.460 in. Outside Diameter, 471 lbs./in. Rate, 1.085 in. Coil Bind Height,

These are the K-motion valve springs I have. I was planning on using them on my ported/polished aluminum heads with the HOT cam. Is this spring good enough? I have 1.6 rollers and new valves.

As I said, that cam is way too small and will be eaten up by that motor. You're hurting yourself by using it.

something comparable for DD and power? I've read a lot of threads about the cc306, gm 847 and so on, would you vote for one of those two? I'd like my gas to not be too horrible.

Well my mechanic friend had a 1995 ss with lt4 ported and polished heads and everything the same as mine, he was making 398RWHP and 420RWTQ going low 12's N/A and mid to high 11's with 150shot on slicks. Street tires mid 12's. So that sounds about right for what I want, but in your opinion/knowledge whats a better choice?

Those are all good cams for a 350 LT1. You have to understand with so much more displacement you will need a lot larger duration cam. Look into the setups of other 383 owners on here and do a custom-grind cam that is comparable.

lol im low 12 with a cc306 and stock heads...daily drivve it to 25mpg with a big stalled automatic...do a cc306 its medium size for a stroker...give you good drivability and decent power...
custom grind is best...

hmm doesn't sound too bad, I don't know if you're laughing at the fact that your car does the same times with less, but just remember Impalas weigh a good 600+lbs more than your camaro. But with that aside I'll look into the cc306. thanks for the input

Way more spring than is needed by the HOT cam. That open pressure is more than my solid Comp roller cam springs!
