Default Bad MSD

So i just put on a msd opti and i was having a really bad miss when the motor gets hot.. Turn out its the module inside the opti. Kinda pisses me off that it is defective. So the next one will be here tuesday. I just thought i would let you guys know about the msd unit. Its probly the first one to be defective. I just want to drive my car. Been down for 3 weeks now..

I might be mistaken but pretty sure someone else posted that the new billet msd unit was getting hot for him too and causing problems on his. I like what they made but am waiting for some results, thanks for posting the feedback on here & good luck with getting it 100%.

Wow. Looks like the MSD Opti is becoming a hit or miss.

we will be installing mine for testing after the next race

I want to do some timing tests to accurately see where my stock OPTI is timing at and where the MSD is at and then document the adjustability of the MSD unit

I am pretty sure I have a way to test repeatedly and get the same results on the engine.

I thought the adjustability of the MSD opti was for another purpose?

It is for dailing in the Opti to advanced or retarded cam install's

I still plan on documenting it for our use and to share.

^So did you get your opti in?

I'm pleased with mine, haven't had this overheating issue.
